Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad - Multiplayer Beta Review

Since 31 August Tripwire Entertainment gives to all who have bought via Steam, the Digital Deluxe Edition the opportunity to participate the last phase of betaThat's what I've done. So go ahead, follow me into the battle of Stalingrad.

In Heroes of Stalingrad, the Red Army fought doggedly to succumb for bringing the advancing German forcesYou could get in the name of "Heroes" of Stalingrad a slightly bad aftertaste, because of nationalist propaganda, or similar. This premonition is completely unfounded, the game is completely apolitical and highly unusual for a war shooter. Everyone who plays shooter for get as many kills without regard for losses, which will wake up quickly disillusioned. In Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad, the team is on top, who do not play with the team is doomed. The goal of the game mode has its dependencies by capturing and keeping different positions.
Heroes of Stalingrad gives a rapidly a feel for how important are covering and conservative movements. Because of the tremendous realism it is usually said One Shot - One Kill. Who longer plays Red Orchestra 2, which will state that in his mind no longer the question: "How do I make the next kill" prevails, but rather the frantic hope "how to survive that here only". in Red Orchestra 2 is dying just a part of the game, to survive one round is almost completely impossible, because somewhere is always an enemy, whether in the form of a gunner or a sniper or even their own troops to fall in a hail of bullets to the victim.

Previously you could allude 6 maps in the beta. The maps showed already many features of the game, among others, was shown the tank a pure tank battle map, Gumrak. The tank battle in Red Orchestra is a highlight, because you can see the tank from the inside as part of the occupation and not from the third-person view.

The other maps force the player usually to struggle on a merciless houses battle. Because there is no crosshair in Red Orchestra or similar, there are front and rear sights to hit the enemy, but usually you do not have time and just fire with good luck from the hip.

The game is frantic and to the same very cautiously, an advance over open ground is only possible if the area has been obscuredby smoke grenades, because enemy machine guns just waiting for a group of soldiers which want to scurry across the street. Each team has available different classes. There are in the shooter genre typical classes like sniper, assault troops, MG-Sagittarius and Sagittarius, in addition to these traditional roles, there is the group leader and the commander. Especially important is the role of the commander who has the ability to request artillery support, and other. This officer is also different in game from the rest of the troops and offers itself as a target in particular, for them who kills the enemy officer is save certainly atleast for some time before enemy artillery or reconnaissance aircraft.

Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad offers a completely new multiplayer shooter experience. Due to the high degree of realism necessary for survival and teamwork, single fighters have no chance. Even if the beta is not perfect yet and there are still some crashes and bugs that often frustrate some players, but still ignore it, because the gameplay has already assumed sinister proportions in the beta phase.

My result to the Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad Beta is consistently positive. The maps are making it diverse and lovely, fighting in the summer and in winter, on foot or in a tank. Heroes of Stalingrad offers a welcome change from the shooter monotony alla Call of Duty or Medal of Honor. Even though the game is not really beginners friendly, anyone who has ever dipped into the world of Red Orchestra, it's like the grandpa from the Red Orchestra trailer. I'm excited about the multiplayer and I am looking forward to the release of the main game on the 13th September. Because then I can also beat the single player in the battle for Stalingrad. I have already hinted in the preview and I like to repeat, for me, Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad, is one of the secrets 2011th.
