Battlefield 3 - Details to the Co-op Campaign!

The single player campaign of Battlefield 3 does now look like a top product and the multiplayer looks bombastic too, but the co-op mode should also excite, said David Spinnier.


Dice has made with the new Frostbite engine 2.0 a war scenario, which by the very authentically styled story of the single-player campaign, as well as with the action-packed multiplayer part, works almost perfectly. From these two components, Lead Co-op designer David Spinnier and his team have been developed a co-op mode, which combines the gripping story with the longevity of the multiplayer.


Here, the developers have made sure to offer many variations of missions within the Co-op. It is true the environment is identical to the single player campaign, but the events and tasks in the missions are different.

Features of the Co-op mode:
For the successful completion of the missions team play is needed. Even if a player goes in one of the heated battles on the ground, the "Man Down" function allowing to drag a wounded comrade to safety, to put it back on its feet. The injured player may enter during which the gun cover fire, but if both players lying on the ground only remains the restart of the mission.


Because the developers do not want to make the missions to shooting-courses, the difficulty of challenging provides exciting and crisp challenges. Random elements in the levels ensure a high replay value and always new surprises.
